Pandora Issues - Just started 5/2016

Not sure what’s going on, but all of a sudden my Pandora app on the WD TV Live w/latest FW (just updated today, but problem was before update), Pandora all of a sudden stops and says it can’t play the media. And then oddly when checking my Pandora stations on my PC and iPhone, it’s completely locked out and won’t play from anywhere.

I contacted Pandora and they attributed it to some security issue on their end trying to block abusers and tried to “fix” my account for me. But it’s been happening non-stop for three days now. I’ve been using it for almost 2 years and now something has changed, likely on Pandora’s end. Is this happening to anybody else? It’s starting to irritate me. I email them over and over every time it happens, and they keep resetting it. They even removed the device from my account and had me re-activate it and it still happened.

I’ll post updates if I have any.

Hopefully they’ll be able to address this issue, and sharing the solution with the WD Community once available will likely assist other Users in need.

Similar problems here playing Pandora.
Started about 2 months ago with Firmware 2.01.86 (rolled back)
Have been playing Pandora approx 15-20 hrs/day for over 2 years with no problems till this inconsistent issue.
On fresh startup, WD TV Live SMPlayer usually starts playing music fine, but then, sometimes after just a few songs (that it plays fine), it stops and error message notes it can’t play the selected format (even though it was just doing so fine) and to check the user manual for supported formats, but sometimes it will play for several HOURS before crashing.
I “upgraded” to Firmware 2.03.20 earlier this week to see if that fixed it…bottom line is NO…it still happens with the new firmware, and I can’t yet see any way to rollback to 2.01.86 to see if it works any better.
Have discussed this with Pandora and they offered to un-associate and re-associate my device to their service, but not sure if that will help, especially with above comments in mind, so am hoping WD will monitor this forum and provide some help in getting this device back up and running.
I have contacted Pandora to confirm they haven’t changed their streaming file format (they say they haven’t), and have gone thru all the steps to reset my network connection, router, ethernet switches (I use hardwired connection), all to no avail.
In my case, different from yours, I can listen to Pandora on my PC with no problems, even while streaming thru my network to the WD TV Live SMP, this is ONLY happening when trying to stream Pandora thru my WD device, and the WD crash doesn’t appear to have any effect on my PC Pandora playing.
Hope enough people are experiencing this issue so WD HAS to fix it soon…for now I’m playing thru a laptop till this gets FIXED…
