Password protect network access

Hi 

I have a WD MyCloud connected into a lan port on my router it can be seen by any computer on my network is there a way to password protect access to it from the network as i dont want people like kids friends etc having access to it when they join our wifi network

Are you talking about FILE access, or UI access?

File access is protected via Private shares.   There’s no way to keep them out of Public shares.

UI access is protected by setting a password in the UI.

The other option you should consider is using a more “guest-friendly” WiFi router that has Guest access, which permits them internet access but prohibits access to anything on your local network.
