Last night i have attached my WD My Passport driver to my home computer and it was taking bit long time to be detected. i remove it and attached it to my laptop as it was working fine with it just an hour before. My laptop detected the drive but it is asking me for a password i don’t know the password as i have not set it and hint field is also blank. Please help me in this regard as i cant afford to lost my data.
I m ready to prove my identity if there is any possibility to reset password.
the Only Way to UNLOCK the drive is with the password, actually theres no way to reset the hard drive
the other only Option is to ‘‘ERASE’’ the drive which Delete all Data on it , and as you mentioned all your information its on it … .
So i will recommend you to try with all passwords you know in Upper/lower Case before you decide to format the HDD
