Are you supposed to be able to play music remotely from songs on MyCloud? I tried and the connection was too slow so music stopped and started? I have a Xfinity cable for my internet access and my iPhone is on wifi at the office.

Yes, you should be able to stream files from the My Cloud to multiple devices.
The WD My Cloud has a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet connection. Actual transfer rates can vary based on your local area network topology, hard drive disk read/write speeds, system activity, and length of cable. To achieve maximum transfer rates, we recommend using Giga-bit network devices, because your transfer rates will only be as fast as your slowest network component. I made some changes on my router so now the speed is okay. Is there a 3rd party application that would allow me to stream music over the internet so that I could set up playlists, etc and use like I do with iTunes and iCloud?
