In this screenshot I noticed that Band of Brothers and Blade are in folders, I assume with multiple files from the series:

How is this possible if folders dont allow movie information?, how is everyone organising their library so as to not display multiple repeats of the same moviesheet?, all Im after is to be able to display one single Thumbnail for a series of episodes within a folder and I want this folder as seen in the screenshot to display along side single movies. This is one thing that has been niggling me for ages and I cant seem to get an answer to. Much appreciate any answers.
hmm… metadata for folders don’t show up…
its a bug in the firmware
email wd and ask them for an explanation
and for the screenshot… i can certainly assure that even if the folders are selected, no movie information will show up.
and for series.
its best to generate the metadata for each episodes…
or if you want…
you can create a dummy file in the folder and generate a moviesheet for it.

its simple…
i’m pretty much sure… he organised his files and folders like that:
root/
bandofbrothers/ -->folder with files in it
blade/—>folder with files in it
clashoftitans.mkv
clashoftitans.jpg
clashoftitans.xml
movie1.mkv
movie1.jpg
movie1.xml
.
.
.
.
.
movieN.mkv
movieN.jpg
movieN.xml

If you look at the pic, Band of Brothers has a folder icon on it (the little green folder icon at the bottom) and the movies don’t.
As firetix explained, the folders and the movie files are on the same level, so you have:
folder
folder
movie file
movie file
All are either at the root or within another folder which makes the folders and movies display at the same time.

Ive also figured it out thanks to you fine gentlemen. Would love it if WD sorted out the folder transparency and include moviesheets for folders… but would it be possibleto do both in a firmware update?
