Hi again, trying to organise my content in Plex but creating new library won’t allow to select folder. This is very frustrating, where do I put Animation for kids? Where guitar lessons and where tutorial and work related stuff? Should I throw everything in one folder? Why no folder selection option???

I don’t think you can create folders like that for plex. here is a knowledgebase article on the wd support site that may help.
While creating new library source choosing folder is very basic option and this is possible on all other servers, Plex cloud etc but not on WD Home. This is very frustrating limitation, imagine I have animation for my kids with horror movies, in one folder now and cannot seperate this as these are all Movies. Now give your children remote to chose content

Does anyone know if this has been amended in the past 9 months? Trying to separate my library into genres and unable to do so on my MyCloud Home Plex account.
Same problem here … I assume they don’t care because there has been no update to resolve this…Do you know of any solution coming out soon ?
Looking at the date of the last post here, it is safe to presume that WD have no interest in correcting this glaringly bad error of theirs. And so I am now returning the device. But before I do. Just to explain to WD one more time. Many of your customers buy the MCH to store and watch extensive media libraries. The best way of doing that is via Plex. Using your device as a plex media server requires the user to add custom category folders for their media collections. However, you in your wisdom have stopped customers from creating custom libraries via Plex. I can tell you that Nobody and I mean NOBODY creates a stored library of their precious media, containing thousands of entries, and then stores them all unsorted in one media type folder. They obviously organise their media into sub categories ie. Films\Drama\Romance or TV\Comedy Or Music\Rock etc etc. They don’t dump every movie they have into one film folder without sub category folders. And that is what your asking of us. NO thanks. Now returning your not fit for purpose device.
And did you hear anything back from WD? It is now March of 22 and the same problem still exists. It shouldn’t be this hard. My one and only library is getting kind of big. Thankfully I can use categories to help find things I want but this is a serious shortfall.
Plex is unstable software even under the best of hardware and OS, even Plex support discourage users from running PMS on Android such as the MCH OS4.
The WD is even so much locked down, that it doesn’t allow you to create custom/additional libraries and change the folders which are connected to a library.
(implemented that way upon WD’s explicit request) …The Shield might be OK for a small-ish collection with only a few items.
But as your collection grows in size, you sooner or later want adequate hardware for your server.
