Post firmware loss of hard drive

Hi all

First post so go easy… :smiley:

I’ve just downloaded the new firmware (had WDTV for a couple of weeks and all worked coolio) but I’ve got dramas

The external hard drive with all my movies and stuff on (seagate) that could be seen before is not being found by the unit- the USB symbol just flashes on the front of the unit.

I can see files etc when I plug into my pc…

Sorry if this is a common fault thats been talked about loads!

How can I keep the 1080 setting output, at the moment it reverts to 780 whenit powers off…
