Power failure

Hi,
I bought 2 WD EX2 Ultra devices thinking that it will be the best for backing up really important files.
Now, the technical person of WD says that it will be bad if there is any power failure. I device may damage and I may loose all data. Is that correct? !!

I am sad why did I buy this 2 pieces, it will be a trash if things are like that !!.

That’s potentially true of EVERY hard drive or NAS under the sun.

That’s why UPSes were created.

I’ve experienced 2 power failures since getting my EX2. Each time it powered back up after the power returned. No problem. If you are concerned about it then you may want to get a ups.
