Power LED shows Yellow/Orange light and then goes dead

Can someone please provide guidance on what I should do. Recently I unplugged my WD Cloud storgae from my PC for cleaning the room.

When I try to reconnect the power source the power led light shows steady yellow/orange for a couple of minutes then it starts blinking and stays that way. It goes dead (blank) as soon as I connect the network wire. If I remove the network wire - the yellow flashing light comes back on after a few minutes. All this while I can hear the disk spinning in the background.

All along I can hear the disk spinning inside making the noises. Not sure what to do. I have several important backups on the disk.
I have tried to unplug the power a few times and plug it back - with the same result.

I have not done any type of reset or anything else at all.

What do you have the network cable that is plugged into the My Cloud, plugged into? A router? If so is that router powered on? Have you tried rebooting the router? Make sure to have the network cable plugged into the My Cloud before powering the My Cloud on.

Thanks for your response. I have tried both - rebooting the router and also re powering the WD device with the network line on. With no results.

The WD light does not get to blue. My guess is that it is not able to come online fully. Maybe the power adapter is faulty or the disc is having issues.

Can you access the Dashboard? If so, your symptoms are consistent with a failure of the blue LED.
