found this drive in the pile so maybe it was left because it is not working but here goes. Plug it into the PC and it immediately spins up and is ‘seen’. Comes up though as a 640MB CD drive (shows the WD smart drive label). Went into that testdrive tool and it shows it also as a 700mb. I do not want to start running updates or fixes and make things worse so I am open to suggestions before I look to doing anything.

How is the drive showing under disk management?
Today the think worked as expected. Plugged it in and it spun up fine. It was showing the virtual CD rather than the whole drive I think so I disabled VCD
