Problem with SmartWare on Win7

hi there,

i have purchased new WD My Cloud Personal Cloud storage (WDBCTL0030HWT), and i want to configure the Smart Ware software so i could backup my files on the personal cloud storage, but the Smart Ware cant see the My Cloud drive, any suggestions?

Can you access the My Cloud using Windows File Explorer on Windows 7?

If so Smartware should see and access the My Cloud. You may want to read the Smartware User Manual (http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/wdsmartware/um.asp) and the My Cloud User Manual (http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/library/?id=439&type=25) if you have not done so already.

Make sure your My Cloud and Computer are in the same Workgroup. If they are try shutting down your router for one minute and then reboot it.

Have you read the User Manuals for both the My Cloud and SmartWare?
