Problem with WD TV Live HUB - Audio Switch problem

Hi guys,

I have a WD TV Live HUB ~2-3 years old, with the latest firmware…I used the hub as a Karaoke machine, I loaded the internal storage of the hub with a lot of .vob .mkv files that have like 2 audio channels in them. It used to work perfectly fine until I upgraded the hub to the latest firmware. Before I could open any file, with the audio playing in Audio 1, then press the Audio switch button to Audio 2 and any vocal sound from the song would go away, which leave it open to be karaoke-able. But now after I upgraded the firmware, I could no longer do that. Now when I switch between Audio 1 and 2, the vocal sound still there in Audio 2, not only the vocal voice won’t go away but I noticed it also skip like a few seconds in advance between each Audio Switch. I have tried everything, hard reset, changing settings but no thing worked. Can someone please help me out and fix this issue with me? It’s a lovely machine for karaoke, beside playing and manage all my movies :frowning:

Have you tried reverting back to the previous firmware?

Hi,

Did you ever figure this out? I have the exact same problem except with the TV Live. I tried downgrading two versions back but didn’t fix the problem.

No I havn’t got it fix yet :frowning: I still having the same problem with it as of today. I had revert the firmwares but the problem still there.

Does anyone on here know a solution to this? It seems like a really rare glitch/bug that I couldn’t find the solution to :frowning:

I have a WD TV Live streaming and was able to shut off audio and now it doesn’t work anymore. I tried downgrading my firmware and bricked my unit…now i’m stuck with a bricked unit. WD please fix this issue, this was a great unit for Karaoke!!!
