Question from a new comer

Hi all,

I just recently got a WDTV live hub

its a gift for someone to just basically watch movies without any network, just direct to TV.

I copied all of my movies from MY setup with my xbox 360 over to the 1tb HD in the WDTV.

Movies are working fine, and even have a tiny thumbnail,  but the section that shows the “year, run time, story of movie etc” is all NA

How do I get all of the movie info to populate?

Thanks!

Press OPTIONS / GET CONTENT INFO.

Or use some of the third-party tools to “scrape” data from the internet and populate that data.

Sorry,

Perhaps I am more daft that I thought.

I should mention I have the latest firmware, my main screen shows no “options” just setup.

And FYI Media Library is enabled.

Not sure what you mean by “get content info”

Any help is appreciated!

When you have a movie “highlighted” in the video browser, hit your OPTIONS button.

GET CONTENT INFO will appear near the top of the menu.

Ah ok.

Well,  when I highlight a movie and press options, it takes me to another screen and allows me to select movie as a favorite or move, copy or delete.

Nothing more ;(

If you don’t see the option to do GET CONTENT INFO, then one of two things:

1>  You didn’t let your Media Library finish compiling before you started browsing.

2>  You’re trying to do it from a FOLDER, not a movie.

I think that is my problem…

I dragged and dropped 500 movies (950gigs) straight from my computer to the WDTV.

Each movie in a folder, each folder containing the info from MY setup, not the person who is gettign the WDTV, so wallpapers and meta info etc.

I sent you a PM btw.

The Hub also has to be connected to the internet. If you are going to use the Get Info tool from the options menu.

Try playing the movie and then select options - Get Content info.
