Hi All,

I bought the wdtv live hub … so far its great i just have some questions regarding the metadata,

i have all my movies each on its own folder …i am wondering if i can get the metadata for the folder ?  so i can browse threw the folders and still see the metadata… also is there a program than i can manually generate metadata ? i was thinking something like “media center master” for my spanish movies…

No, right now you have to get the MetaData for each movie individually.   You CAN have the movies IN folders, but you still have to get the meta-data one at a time.  

Once the MetaData is on the Hard Disk, you can EDIT it, but I don’t think you can manually add metadata without using the UI.

The hub does not really know your movie, it just searches on the name of the file. Thats why you have to pick the one you want. 

You can always add your Spanish movies to the database that the hub uses. You then have to wait about 6 hours for the API cache to be updated until you can download them onto the hub. You will see them immediately on the web browser.

ok thank you, i still cant figure out my other question…

like i said before i have my movies each on its own folder…when i am browsing threw the wdtv live hub in folder mode… i see the movie cover but when i press the options button to get the metadata theres no option…what i have to do is go inside the  folder highlight the movie file example : avatar.mkv … and then press the option button  and get the metadata from there… so my question is this can i get metadata for the  folder  ? cause every time i want to see my movie info i have to go inside the folder …

No, you cannot attach Metadata to a folder.
