Hi - I have a G-Raid Thunderbolt 3 8TB drive connected to a 2017 iMac 27" running High Sierra 10.13.2.

I have used the G-RAID with Thunderbolt configurator to configure the G-RAID to RAID1 from the RAID0 configuration out of the box.

The drive now shows up in Disk Utility as a 4TB drive, as I would expect. As this is the first RAID array I’ve used, I am wondering if this is set up fully.

Should I be able to “see” the mirrored drive? How do I know data is being copied to the second drive?

Is there a full manual anywhere for this device?

After you have configured the drive then all you have to do is Erase it in Disk Utility so it can then be used. The fact that it is half capacity means it is now a working mirror device.
