I’ve been experiencing random reboots when playing back MKV files from my NAS over Ethernet and Wireless. There doesn’t appear to be any pattern to these reboots and it doesn’t reboot at the same point in each of the MKV files I’ve tested it with. Sometimes it’ll play a whole movie without rebooting, other times (this evening) it’s rebooted itself twice within about 20 minutes. The unit doesn’t appear to be overly hot (warm but I don’t think it’s hot enough to be overheating). All of the MKV files have been made using MakeMKV from the original DVD discs. Is there any way of finding out what is causing the reboots? Or does it sound like a faulty unit? I’ve had this problem on and off since purchasing the unit about 2 months ago. I’ve updated to the latest firmware and this hasn’t resolved this problem. Any ideas? Thanks.
Try resetting to factory defaults via the internal menu.
Mine always random reboots when ever its connected to my network and I have had 2 which both do it
I have to do a factory reset just to get it to unconnect from my network as theres noway to turn the radio off
Thanks for the replies. I forgot to mention that I’ve already tried resetting to factory twice now, and it’s rebooting whether I stream over Ethernet or with the Ethernet disconnected over wireless.
i do have the same problems, sometimes the player reboots sometimes the movie just hang.
Please do something again this bug. I have the latest firmware on the player installed.
I find mine reboots or turns itself on whenever its connected to the internet.
If I do a factory rest and dont setup wireless and dont connect it to my network in anyway it works fine (no reboots or self starting) but as soon as i connect it to my network the problems start again.
I know this is no help if you want to stream from your PC but just giving you my experience.
