Hi all I’m trying to reinstall Windows 7 and it’s asking me for the drivers for my Wester Digital Hard Drive. I have a Model WD10EADX-22TDHBO and I have lost the disk that came with it. I cant find the drivers for my hard drive on line can some one help me my email is
Hi what it needs is the motherboard sata drivers. You install them during the win 7 install when it asks for 3rd party drivers. So you need to go to your motherboard manufactures web site and get them. If you give me the make and model of your motherboard I will look them up for you.
Alternatively, if you set the SATA controller to AHCI in the BIOS, the default Windows AHCI driver should work. I didn’t have to install any drivers for my WD drive, though I did install the official Intel chipset drivers after Windows had finished installing.
