Hi - I have WD My Book. Please help me to restore files from my WD My Book to a different computer.
I have used my WD My Book to back-up my main Windows 10 computer. This week storm blew out my computer hard drive and I wish to restore some of the backed up files onto a different computer. I am running in challenges. My Win 10 laptop does not recognize the WD My Book in File Explorer. I can find it under “Disk Management” but it is not initialized. I’ve downloaded WD Discovery and the drive passes the tests. I’ve downloaded WD Drive Utilities & Acronis True Image Download. Under Backups → Recovery no backups are found. It looks like the is not seeing previous backups on the external WD My Book. Please send instructions to download my backed-up files to a different computer.
