I have a brand new red drive which is not even being formatted.
It keeps making a small “tick” sound with a small vibration every 5 seconds periodically.
The problem vanishes when the drive have parked its heads after 5 minutes, but continues when the drive have loaded its heads again.
Is the drive faulty 
? Anyone have had this experience too?
Hi, Are you able to access the drive? If so, I would recommend you to run a extended test using the DLG. The drive normally make the clicking sound if they don’t receive the amount of energy they need or if they are failing, the DLG will give you the information if is damaged or not.
