Remote large file transfer

Hey guys, tried searching but couldn’t come up with results.  I just got  the My Cloud device the other day.  Everything seems to be working fine, but anytime I’m trying to transfer a larger file (500mb+) from outside my home network to the device at home I get the message "Could not copy xxxxxxx.xxx "

I’m not sure exactly what the problem is.  I transfer folders that have files in there that can total 1GB+, but a single file wont go through (.ISO in my case).

Has anyone run into this? Or is there a setting I missed somewhere

Just tried renaming the file name to something simple.  No spaces/underscors/hyphens.  Still stopped at around 60% or so.  Doesn’t make sense.  And no explination, just “Could not copy xxxxx.iso”

I think the issue is currently being looked at by WD if I remembered reading from another post.  It has something to do with Windows WebDav limitation.

Did you use a ftp client to transfer from WAN?

If not,  enable ftp server on MyCloud.

FTP is way more reliable and faster for WAN transfers than other alternatives in this box.

Yes, I guess I did forget to mention that part about the transfer working.  In every case the transfer begins, then anywhere from ~250mb on upwards, it will stop and say Could not copy xxxx.xxx

Did the firmware update today, still the same situation.  I have a reliable connection here at work (75down/50up, with a backup line at 30d/10u) with no restrictions.  Moved a folder containing 2.4GB of pictures from my work PC.  Started the My Cloud app on the desktop here at work, and just slid the folder over.  No issues.

Tried to move an 845mb .MOV file to the My Cloud, and it just stops everytime.

Tried to move a 708mb .ISO file and that stops too.

Seems to an issue with Windows:
