Remove standard folders (pictures, music, videos)

Hi,

I have a 3TB MyCloud with personal folders for all of my family members. We also have a Public folder for music, movies, pictures, software and shared documents. I have created some folders for these files.

However, the MyCloud keeps creating the standard folders:

-          Shared music

-          Shared videos

-          Shard pictures

I don’t want to use these folders because I use my own folder and it is a different language. But when I delete these folders, they will come back after a while (reset, firmware update etc).

How can I get these folders removed permanently?

Thanks!

Yes, the OS will always create these folders as default. I am not on my “My Cloud” at the moment so I might be stretching a bit. Can you make the default public share “Private” and then use what ever naming convention you desire to create your personal shares? Just leave the defaults shares private?

Unfortunately you can not, the Public share is public without (as far as I can see the abiltiyt to turn off public access ie the button is grayed out for this).
