Removing music files

Purchased a My Book World (ethernet version), external hard drive which stores my iTunes music library. I was advised to back up my iTunes music to another drive in case the My Book World, failed. This I did by buying a WD My Book. I then thought it would be a good idea to copy my computers’ hard drive, as well.

Unfortunately, there was not enough space to store my computers’ hard drive AND all of my music library, so I bought yet another WD My Book external hard drive.

Now, with all my music on the second device, I want to remove the music files from my first WD My Book.

Can someone tell me how to remove just the music files?

In order to assist you we are going to need a few more details such as: how did you backup your files? Manually or did you use the WD SmartWare software?

If that’s the case, all you need to do is go into the drive and removed the specific files you don’t want.
