Hi there everyone,
my question is a rather simple one and it‘s all in the title: now that I‘m married I‘d like to rename my Mycloud Ex2 Ultra, since it used to have my name and that of my Ex girlfriend in it. As funny as that might appear.
I‘ve proceeded with renaming it from the settings in the user interface and got past the warning saying that the networks, partitions and everything should also be changed in order to make it work again with my computer and the other WD software. But I‘m still getting the old name whenever I access the App on my phone or the OS5 App online even after the reindexation as if the change was not taken into account.
Does the website not synchronize the device name once it gets changed? Does this change need time to be fully applied?
How should I solve this.
Any help is welcome.
