Replacing drive in bay 1 JBOD

I know there are a ton of threads about upgrading drives, even ones on upgrading them in JBOD set up.

I’m having trouble finding some of the key folders from the drive in bay 1 that i need to move to the new drive - potentially because i’m not using linux.

Predominantly, I want to ensure my plex server and associate metadata get moved to the drive i plan to place in bay one - and of course any other necessary files and folders (nar_prog sounds important), but I can’t find them - again probably because i’m not using linux.

is there any way to place a new drive in say bay 2, completely migrate everything from the drive in bay 1, then swap that new drive into bay one without using linux (which i don’t know how to use and i’m terrified to play around with ssh)?

again, i’m using jbod, I can’t use the upgrade function in the gui

Thanks! feel free to talk to me like i’m 5; as far as the pr4100 is concerned, i am.

bump?

Google, your best friend, PLEX backup and restore. There is a great youtube video I used when I replaced my current drives with bigger drives.

Good Luck.

That’s very helpful - thank you.

What other files/folders do I need to pull over from volume 1 to its replacement in support of the operating system of the Nas itself?
