Very disappointed so far with this device.

  1. No obvious way to backup without buying a cloud subscription through crowdstorage.
  2. Phone backups up files (such as photos) under one big directory with no subfolders e.g. by date or original folder.
  3. Windows Explorer doesn’t see the drive out of the box. Need to mess about with windows settings to get it going.
  4. No response from support.
  5. Fairly inactive community with many post never being responded to.

First WD product but probably returning.

I don’t blame you.

I have a older Gen 1 WD MyCloud 2TB …and have been very happy it and it does everything you listed ‘out of the box’.

I would never purchase a My Cloud Home or recommend one.
