I have a 2tb my cloud drive.

also I have a USB3 WD elements desktop hard drive.

I am having trouble with safepoint backups (as most do).  Is my external usb3 drive compatible?

Error is  36102 -Your safepoint could not be created due to a failed request. Please try creating your safepoint again.

If you are connecting your hard drive via USB to the MyCloud, you will most likely have a problem. I was told it is a problem with the current firmware by level 2 tech support.

Thats pretty rubbish isnt it?

I am going to check the WD elements drive using their own software.

Does it matter what the format of the USB drive is?

Have you solved the issue of safepoints from my cloud to elements. I own a 4TB mycloud and I am looking to buy a 4TB wd elements to create and store safepoints.
