Samsung TV no longer displaying all files

I have two Samsung TVs (series 5 & 6) that I have used for the last 3 years to connect to my MyCloud device and watch videos. Recently I’ve found that I can’t access most of my video files and photos. I’m not sure what has caused this.

I can still navigate to the relevant folders on the TVs and can see a small number of files but most aren’t visible - particularly .mp4 files. I’ve checked my settings and can’t see any obvious issues as I haven’t changed anything. I’ve also put one of the files on to a memory stick and put it into the TV and it’s fine so I know the files are OK. Other devices are fine and can access all files via the MyCloud app or alternative apps.

I’ve checked my TVs and neither have had a firmware update for a few months so can’t see that being the problem.

I’m struggling to identify whether its a TV, My Cloud or possibly broadband issue. I have changed my broadband provider a month ago but it has worked successfully since then. Has anyone come across this before?

Assuming you’re using the DLNA Media Server on the MyCloud to stream to your Samsung TV’s … have you tried Re-Scanning and/or Re-Building the DLNA Database ?

Thanks for your response. I had tried to rescan the DLNA database and it had progressed quite far but failed to complete a couple of times. The third time I left it running overnight and it completed successfully. I then tested the TVs and both are now displaying all files again. Thanks for your help.
