Setting up sharing

Hello,

Hopefully you guys can help, You’ll have to forgive me as I’m a new Mac user and new to WDTV.

I’m trying stream files from my imac to wdtv, I’ve set up the sharing options on the mac but when I try to access them with WDTV I’m being asked for username and password for my imac. Excuse my ignorance but I don’t know what username and password I have to enter. Also, the username is guest which I can change but the password has about 12 stars every time I delete this and try to type a p/word it reverts back to the stars and tells me its failed. I’m probably doing something really dumb and missing something stupid.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to follow up the steps properly since you are using the guest user, it should allow you to access the shares without using any password.
