SmartWare didn't see My Book Live Duo

Last weekend took note that SmartWare didn’t see My Book Live Duo anymore.

I can access it with Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer and Firefox

I use

SmartWare version 1.6.5 using upgrader 1_6_5_3

MyBook Live Duo version 2.42.02-012 Core F/W

Windows 7 pro 64 bits

The latest file I found in the WD SmartWare.swstor directory was saved on April 11.

Maybe since the last update of MyBook Live Duo

Any Idea ?

Hi, try doing a power cycle and see if that helps, if the problem continues, you can also try uninstalling Smartware and install the latest version.

I installed the new version 2.0.0 released 3 hours ago !

After a power cycle of my unit. I saw it in the backup destination selection in SmartWare V2.0.0 . When I was trying to find my previous backed up files. The unit disapeared from the selection list after hitting cancel in a password request window.

I will try to uninstall tomorrow.

I unistalled and reinstalled SmartWare many times yesterday without success. With My Book Live Duo off or running. Rebooting my computer after each installation and desinstallation.

My Book Duo is visible after a scan with My Net View. Today I was checking if my problem was caused by my antivirus software.

My unit appeared in SmartWare for about five minutes and disapeared during the backup session.

I stopped my antivirus many times and my unit didn’t reappeared.

Any idea ?

Yesterday in the evening I took note that My Book Live Duo appeared in the QuickView icon.

I opened Smart Ware and took note that the backup had finished.

As I write this post my unit isn’t visible with QuickView and Smartware.
