I have heard about the sleeping problems of Western Digital hard drives at other forums.
Some suggested that firmware upgrades of the various models of hard drives would solve the sleeping problems while others said that the firmware upgrades accomplished nothing.
Many would recommend switching brands of hard drives to solve the problem.
I am wondering if it is possible to change & hold the sleep mode (to NOT sleep)of an external hard drive (such as the WD MYBOOK) when it is connected to the WD TV Live SMP and not a Windows PC.
