Somehow Folders In The Ext Drive Are In Hidden Mode when i switch OS (From XP To Windows 7 Or 8)

My Ext.Drive Is 1 TB In That  700 gb  is Filled Up with Some Data,when i was using Windows XP as my OS.

Now I bought Windows 7 & 8  when i  plug-in my drive it shows up nothing (I Mean Can’t See even Single Folder in the drive).

When I looked into available space it says used 700 gig & free space as 300 gig approx

 

Funny Thing is that when i copy some folders from windows 7 or 8 to my drive  then i can see those folders in the drive but not previous Folders

Can Please Advice What I can Do To See Those Folders In Windows 7 or 8

Did you try to change the folder settings to show hidden files?
