I had a hard drive that I bought from WD on Amazon. I sent them a support ticket to see about the drive. The drive itself broke where the SATA connection is supposed to go. Someone emailed me and said they couldn’t replace it because it was physically broken. I just received an email saying they had not heard back from me. I would really like to replace the drive. I bought it brand new, it’s under a 5 year warranty and I have it registered and it’s only 3 years old or less.
You are saying you used the HDD for 3 years then somehow broke the SATA connection so why would warranty cover this?
I just wasn’t sure and I didn’t think it would hurt to ask
