I have not been able to find a definitive answer to this question anywhere. Will any of these WD players / streamers play TV shows recorded by either Windows 7 media center or Windows XP Media Center 2005? The specs seems to dance around the issue. If none of these units can play recorded TV, they are pretty much useless to me.

Yes it wil! HOWEVER, It will only stream the file after it is recorded and it will only play DVR-MS NOT WTV! The way around this is to use WTV WATCHER it will automatically convert WTV to DVR-MS for you once the show is done recording. It’s nothing more then a small program that uses the built in converter from microsoft. And it’s fast too. One other way it to google DVRMSTOOLBOX. A little more coplicated but has many more options.
