Streaming to other TVs

I have a WD Live Plus… I enjoy it and was considering getting another one for a different TV.  Now I’m thinking about getting the LiveHub.  The LiveHub marketing site says:

You can stream any file on the WD TV Live Hub media center to a WD TV Live media player or any DLNA/UPnP compatible TV, Blu-ray Disc player, or game console. The system is powerful enough to handle multiple streams so you can stream a movie to your Blu-ray Disc player, while viewing photos on your TV upstairs.

I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to this so forgive me if this question is (or should be) obvious:

When it talks about streaming a file to my WD Live Plus on the other TV so I actually have to do something on the LiveHub to send a move _ to _ the other TV or can the other TV’s Live Plus _ pull _ a move _ from _ my LiveHub?  Makes a big difference if everytime the kids want to watch something they have to come to the “main” TV to send their content to the TV they were watching.

Anyone here done this?  Can your WD Live Plus browse the content on your LiveHub and pull down any content it wants?

Right now, I’m playing music ON the Hub (streamed from a NAS) and streaming an SD video to my PC from the Hub.  Works fine (I have the Hub mapped as a network drive).

I’m not sure how well it would cope playing an HD movie from the internal drive while streaming another HD movie to an external device.  Let’s try it!

Ok, playing a 720p MKV with 5.1 AC-3 on the Hub itself from the Internal drive.

Using my PC to stream a different MKV (also 720p with 5.1 surround).

Success!  Playing smoothly on my PC.  Playing smoothly on the Hub.

So yes, you can PULL media from the Hub without interacting with the Hub itself.  I believe you can also do so when the unit is in Standby (NAS functions are still active even when the unit is inactive).

Thanks for sharing your experience.  Looks like LiveHub might be my next purchase.
