Sync Network Share Invalid username/password

I havethe hub setup and it works well. I am copying files to it using the WD Discovery that was provided. I have no problems, except when i try to sync it with a network share.

It finds my PC fine. But when i get to the login screen it wont work.

Anonymous with a blank password will not work. And none of the usernames i have will work either.

I have no idea what to do. I only bought the product and this was the key feature I wanted to use. I am thinking of returngin if this doesnt work.

Also worth noting is thatI have been searching the forums and foundthat Windows Live Essentials seems to cause some issues with this. I have removed this and anthing related to this. The problem does not go away

Unless you have very old firmware, Live Essentials has nothing to do with it.  That issue was corrected a long time ago.

Look in your Windows security log for clues what might be happening.

Well, believe it or not, that’s meaningful – it should say SOMETHING – whether successful or not.

Dumb question – are you sure you’re connecting to the correct system?

same issue.  i have had the WD Live Hub for about a year.  It has been connected to the PC via network share with no issues until about a week ago.  now, the choose windows share screen only displays my router name, no longer shows my PC (or the mac).

i have not made any changes to the network…i did apply the latest firmware update on the WD around the same time the issues started.
