Syncing two EX2's in different locations

I*m thinking of buying two EX2’s and place one at home, and one at a friends house in case of fire etc. Would it be possible to make these sync automatically?

Thanks

You can do remote backups to another EX2 on a different network. Check page 69 of the manual for more information.

I searched as best I could, this was the closest thread to my question I could find.

Is the remote backup accessible by someone at the remote location?  I am on the East coast, my business partner is on the West coast.  We want to have an onsite backup for each of our teams (about 8 users each), and also have an offsite backup as well.  I would like to allow the East coast team to visit the West and have access to all their documents from the local EX2 and not need to get them from their home base East coast EX2 they normally access.

We have not purchased the EX2’s yet.

I am due to setup remote backups for 2 WD EX2 NAS drives and I am a bit confused with your documentation.  Answer ID 10649 ( WD Knowledge Base) requires port 22 and 873 forwarded.
I want to know which port to forward to the Source and Targer WD EX2.  Also in your documentation ( Clould Access Connection Option) you refer to External Port1 8080 and External port2 8443 ?  Not sure how this relates to the port forwarding.

Can you pleae give me step by step description as I would be installing several of these ( EX2 → EX2 ) remote backups.

Thanks
