Thumb Images and Info gone after upgrade

I upgraded to the 3.0.19 version and then rolled back to 2.0.16 (?) All moves attached via USB drive pre and post code change. Now all the Video thumb images and info are gone. All I see is the Title (name of the folder) and a folder icon. I tried to remove info and rescan. It finds the move in the database and gets it but still won’t display the images I had before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That would be correct…

The databases are different between those versions.

So since I rolled back the firmware to what it was before I would think the images should appear. How do I get it back to the way it was?

I have rolled back to 3.0.28 and all my info images are gone too even though they were created when using that firmware. So is there an easy enough way to get the images back? thanks

Have gone back to latest firmware  and still no thumbnails etc. what have I done wrong to lose these and not be able to get them back? thanks

I’m running the latest 3.01.19 FW without any problems with all movie/serie images and metadata info (description/year). You have to set it to automatically grab metadata. This can be set in the settings of your WDTV Live Hub. I don’t know exact menu but you need to have it sync the ‘get metadata’ automatically. This only works if your Live Hub is connected to the internet ofcourse (and you checked in the settings if the connection is fine). You will see a message in top of the screen that metadata is received for all series/movies. When you no longer see it in top of the screen then everything is synced/updated and all images/metadata should be available. If you have your tv series, movies mentioned in the correct format:

moviename (year).fileextension

seriename S01E01.fileextension

You can either use a dot in between the text or blank.

Sometimes you need to turn of your Live Hub and turn it on again which should make it visible.

Thanks for the response but i havve fixed my dilemma another way. It turns out that all the info was there but because i was using a NAS and i was no longer starting fom the root directory to go to my movies it for some reason was not getting the images and moviesheets. Now it does so i am happy again. and i have just installed the latest firmware today and it is still all there so doubly happy thanks again

I am using an attached USB Hard drive. I have added new movies and when it goes out to get the info it finds it, but will not show any thumbnail images or move information. I have the folders named One Day and The Other Guys, etc… This worked in the older firmware and since the upgrade, rollback and re-upgrade nothing appears other than a folder icon and the name and run time of the movie. The system sees my external USB hard drive okay. Am I missing something???

Thanks in advance for any and all help.
