Transfering files from Win to a Mac rdy HD External, it's possible?

Hey everyone,

I’m about to buy a My Passaport WD External HD for my MacBook. I’m a Win user but I’m moving to other place and since the actual Win computer I have is going to be donate I wanted to save all the files I need on this new HD I’m buying for Mac.

Will this work?

I found that there’s a way to read the files on Win from a  HFS+ formated HD, but I didn’t get if I could transfer files to the HFS+ formatted HD.

There is software out there that will allow Windows to read Mac files, but whether you can transfer them from Windows to a Mac formatted drive will be dependent on the software.  Do a google search.
