Transmission Update

HI all,
The program could really use an update to Transmission. We’re stuck on Transmission 2.94 since 2020. There are a few torrent files that don’t load in this version of Transmission that I have discovered.

It would be very helpful to be able to upgrade to 3.00. Is there any way to do this manually, just like I can download and update Plex manually? The transmission website has a whole bunch of downloads bur I can’t tell which one (if any) would safely work on this device.

Short of that, does anybody have any information on when WD might implement this or when the next major upgrade is scheduled for? Thanks!

I have found that support gives me extremely generic, unhelpful answers, typically completely ignoring my concerns. Especially regarding third-party apps. Therefore, I went to the community. I’d rather remain ignorant of the answers I need than to contact support expecting answers, and then not get them. Hopefully someone in the community will be able to assist.
