When i go into map network share, I select the share and what drive I would like it labeled as and then I have to type in my password. It then thinks about it and then another box pops up with the username “nobody” and expects a password. if i hit cancel then it cancels out everything. If i try use the 2nd log in, it says “Multip[le connections to a swevwe or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.” I have nothing else connected on my PC. I am so confused.
I am not sure what to do moving forward, and the my cloud app is not very handy for mass transgers. I would like to just transfer and set up the drives as destinations.
click on browse under “what network folder would you like to map”
click on WDMYCLOUD and if your shares has a userid and password, it will prompt you for it at this time
you will see all your shares, select the one you want, Public is the default start up share
click ok and click finish
you can now see the NAS as a mapped drive in your Computer (treat it just like a local drive).
Just make sure that you have the username and password set on your Cloud drive and you have assigned shares to them. If you did not assign shares to the username, you may have problems accessing the selected shares which is why it may be popping back up because you are not authorized to access them.
I tried your steps, but it only selected drives on my computer, not the my cloud. in the network, my mycloud isn’t even seen. I thought i had to use the discovery app to create those drives.
I figured it out, I did a run WDMyCloud ( or *name of cloud) which opened the drive up, had to log in once and now I can map out the drives… Thank you so much for your help…
Click on the Share you want to map and then right click on that and click on Map Network Drive. Choose what letter you want to give it and if you want it to stick then check the box next to Reconnect at logon, then Finish. See image below.
I cannot have access to the shares that arent public. I have try this options and nothing. I try every passwords and nothing. Is there another way to access, except from mycloud page.
