Twonky / PS3

Hi. My PS3 can find my media service (MyBookLive 2 TB) however, when I click on the TM icon, I am told that the data is “unsupported” or that there are no files.

How can I get the PS3 to show me the folder structure?

Thank you,

You may confirm if the files you are trying to access are compatible with the PS3.  You may also reset the MBL by holding its Reset button for 4 seconds.

I have the same problem…the PS3 used to be able to read the files no problem from my laptop. The problems only started since I moved everything to the mybooklive environment.

any other suggestions?

thankk you,

Just to add more details, when I start the PS3:

  1. In the picture option, the Twoky option says "file format not supported:

  2. In the video / music sections, the Twonky server says “no titles found”.

I just did a test and confirmed that the files from my camera can be located and viewed when stored on my laptop.

Of note, when my PS3 initially connected to the server, I was expecting to be asked for a password. When I connected my IPAD, the system did ask for my password.  Did I skip a step or is this normal because the PS3 is within the network?

thanks again

i had the same problem, but the solution here worked for me:

it’s a [edited] workaround though - are WD going to fix this properly?!
