HI guys,
would really appreciate your help on this.
I just got my MBL 2TB yday. I installed it no problem, am able to go on to the online dashboard, but I couldn’t access the drive itself!
I am using Windows Vista. I could see the drive on the Network folder (Start>Network), but when I click on the icon, it brings me to the online dashboard.
I tried adding the network drive manually as well but it does not appear when I browse for it
Any idea what might have went wrong?
Am I missing something?
Cheers

It’s supposed to do that. That’s the way VISTA works; it takes you to the web manager.
To access the share, you need to map a drive letter to it.

Make sure you’ve set the workgroup to match what your other PCs are in.
If that doesn’t work, then just manually map it to a drive letter.
Hi,
I don’t have a workgroup, it’s just one laptop
Also, when I try to manually map network drive, it came back to say the MBL path (I typed in the \IP\Public) is incorrect/ not recognised.
Is there other ways of mapping network drive (apart from right-clicking on Network folder)?
You DO have a workgroup. One laptop, and now the MBL. :). But that shouldn’t be preventing a manual mapping. I’ve never seen a pc refuse a mapping to the IP address, so I can’t imagine what would be doing that unless your firewall or security settings on the PC are preventing it…
