Unable to access Plex on MyCloud Home without using VPN

Plex is unable to find my MyCloud Home device unless I use a VPN
My iPad works ok without VPN but Sony Bravia can’t find my MyCloud Home device and I have no option to use a VPN on the TV as it doesn’t work with Nord VPN
Any help greatly appreciated
