I recently purchased the EX4100 for home use and I’m currently unable to access private shares that I have set for other users within the home.
I can access my own, as admin, without issue.
Other users when signing in, receive the following error:
" \Nas_Name\user is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resouce and try again. "
All users are able to access the public shares fine.
I have tried setting up with and without a password, but still, they cannot access the private shares.
Try to restart the computer and then log in with the user that is not able to connect to the device, sometimes Windows does this when connecting to the same location from the same computer with 2 different users. You can also try with the units ip address see if it helps.
Hi and thanks for the reply, as well as the welcome.
All users are using their individual computers. All have their separate IP’s. We’re all connected through a switch, to a separate router - the NAS is on the same switch.
Rebooting has not helped, unfortunately.
Would the fact that we are on the gateway for the router, and not the switch, cause an issue?
