Unable to Connect to MyBookWorld (white light)

I have just moved house and just reconnected up my MyBookWorld (white light) everything appears fine on the box itself e.g. all the lights are showing as expected etc.

I initially plugged it into my router and subsequently direct into my PC ethernet.

In both cases I am unable to connect via WD Discovery, Windows Networking or via IP address.

I can ping the box without any problems.

I have reset, tried differnet cables etc etc but still no joy.

I am trying to connect from Windows Vista.

Any help would be apprecaited.

I have the same problem. I have Windows Vista, updated Java, installed SP2. Tried with Firewall on and off - WD Discovery enabled in the firewall.

I have been now 3 hrs attempting the discovery of My Book World Edition - White Light 1 TB.

Connections are fine, I reseted, got the new 1.70 version of WD Tools, got the .ISO with newer instalation files for the drive and nothing.

I got green network light on the back of the drive and the orange activity light flashes.

I tried Network scanner, it’s not seeing it.

Help anyone?
