Hi all, new to the WD MyBook and having some issues with my sharing. I have videos saved in the shared video folder. I have a new asus rt-ac66u router and my 3TB WD book is directly connected to it. I do see that port forwarding is setup correctly and it shows I have a direct connection. If I access it outside of my LAN (the whole reason for buying it) I can see the shares but as soon as I attempt to copy them to my current computer at work it freezes and I have to restart the computer. From my iphone I can see/download the shares sometimes and then 5 minutes later it can’t access the drive. I remote in and can see that the “port forwarding has failed” and it reverts to the relay connection. I have also seen it say that I need to turn on UPnP on my router for a direct connection yet it is turned on. All this only seems to be with my videos, I can transfer pictures and documents back and forth with no issues. Part of the issue is that my router is so new there isn’t too much out there for support. I am just wondering if any others have had this hooky connected/not connected issue before.
