Uploaing large folder and every file stops, then restarts. HELP!

  So I just purchased the 3TB My cloud today, and am very new to this setup! I’m trying to move all my folders (starting with this computer) onto mycloud. I started with my videos. It’s one folder, with about 200 sub folders totalling about 250gb. It’s painfully slow and i seem to be running into an error. After each file gets about 3/4 of the way it stops for what seems like 5 to 10 minutes, then all of a sudden that file will restart, and work fine… Until I get to the next file.

  Now, I’m running fibre-op internet, I’m not sure what the modems specs are but when I had it installed (about 3 months ago), he said it’s a good modem. If you guide me i’m sure i can provide you with info on my laptop, but i’m confident this puppies got what it takes. I also tried directly linking the laptop to the modem, as well as temporarly disabling my anti-virus program, and neither made a difference.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks,

Are you using a Mac or a windows PC ? What are the Led colour on the back of the cloud ?

Windows 8, and green in the back, blue in the front

How do you copy the files onto the NAS share? Are you using mapped network drives in the network of Windows 8, or something else?

I opened windows explorer, and then draged the folder into the program downloaded with software. (I forget the name of the program, I’m at work right now but will update the name when i get home)
