USB can be seen but My Cloud reports 0KB

USB can be seen but My Cloud reports 0KB when trying to do safepoint

  1. I bought a 4TB seagate backup plus slim.
  2. Formatted it to EXFAT.
  3. Thinking that it has more than enough space to backup what’s on my 3TB My Cloud, I put some other files into it.
  4. Connected it to the back of MC.
  5. USB icon on top of dashboard detects USB But:
  • reports zero KB
  • it’s not visible on the shares as it should be if I read the manual right

Is there anything I’m missing?

Single bay My Cloud units do not support EXFAT. Format the USB drive for NTFS, or HFS+, or FAT32.
