User does not have permission (403) in mobile network

Hi all,

I have just bought a My Cloud Mirror 6TB and I am experiencing some issues when trying to access through My Cloud application from my Android mobile phone using the 3G/4G network. However using WIFI anywhere it works perfectly. I have read similar post but none of them seems to give a definitive answer. I have tried many things but nothing seems to be working. The strange thing is once I am connected to WIFI it works well, then I turn off the WIFI and it still works with the 3G/4G network connectivity for a while but after some time (maybe hours) I get the error: User does not have permission (403)

My cloud device has the latest firmware version loaded.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I’d recommend confirming if the issue is related to your mobile data provider by granting access to a friend or family member using a different mobile network.

Has a solution been found for this problem? I’ve been experiencing this issue now for some time.

I installed the WD MyCloud very easily and install the app on an android phone.
I can reach my cloud in my local wi-fi and outside in any wi-fi network.
Unfortunately, when I change to mobile data, the app shows me error 403 “User does not have permission”.

I had followed all the steps on this guide ([HOW-TO]: Troubleshooting Remote Connectivity Issues) in order to solve my problem.
I tried to change to static IP, manually configure port forwarding, and nothing happened.
I turned back and put everything as the original definitions. Nothing happened again.

Finally I realized that the problem was on the smartphone. “Definitions” → “Mobile networks” → “Access point (APN)” → Changed the access point.

Now it works like a charm!!

i am still having the user does not have permission 403. i am using a samsung A3 on tesco mobile (joint with O2) with latest my cloud app (4.4.7.2) which claims to have fixed the problem.
If i use a samsung S5 on voda phone, it works and i can get to my files.
In the above comment from what to what did you change the access point.
