Hi all. I am unable to do anything with my files stored on My Cloud. The reason for that is that nobody has read/write access to the network drives and I am unable to change them. This is how they are set up (I have no idea how this has happened).
I am logged in as an administrator and have full rights to the PC otherwise… I am now stuck and don’t know what to do to fix this… I’d appreciate some help!
your images are not showing yet but my guess is a corupt /etc/samba/overall_share file.
if you are very comfortable with Linux you can manually re-create it. if not do a system only restore, this will leave your data and shares in place but evrything else is reset like new. proceede very slowly with resetting permisions, the UI lets you move ahead but I believe this is part of the issue causing the coruption
after you have this fixed if you have any comfort level with Linux create a backup of this files and again after any share/permission changes

You add/remove Users and add or change the permissions for the WD My Cloud Shares through the WD My Cloud Dashboard. If you have not already done so I would suggest, strongly, that you read through the WD My Cloud User Manual to understand how to create Users and set Share permissions on the WD My Cloud.
